The 9.30am service at the Kirk this Sunday will be led by Mr Barry Meiklejohn. All are welcome to attend and stay for tea, coffee and chat afterwards.
When you're there, keep an eye out for the beautiful snowdrops growing close by, such a welcome sign of spring. They were clearly enjoyed in the 1860s by Jayne Carlyle, cousin of the Auchtertool minister Walter Welsh. He sent 12 snowdrops by post to her house in London. Jayne wrote to her cousin saying that on receiving them she had placed them in water and they had "plumped up beautifully" reminding her of happy days in Auchtertool.
