Maintenance and Planned use of Flares

Dear community members,

On Tuesday 21 March we will conduct an important annual test of our ‘shutdown valves’, which are an important part of the plant’s safety systems.

The planned maintenance requires us to shut down and test the valves of the pipeline coming into the plant and the pipeline going out of the plant. Whilst we have planned to minimise any elevated flaring, there is the potential that short periods of elevated flaring may occur while we carry out the work between 07:00 to 20:00 on Tuesday. Please be assured that there is no risk to the local community caused by this work.

We have informed the regulator SEPA of our plans.
